Pigment Rainbow Sarong, Pareo, Lava-Lava is Available in Full Size and Half Size in colors Yellow on Turquoise, Turquoise on Blue, Fuchsia on Purple, Yellow on Fuchsia, Greens and Yellow on Pink. Full Size is approximately 44" wide by 68" long. Half Size is approximately 22" wide by 68" long. In the image on the right, the model is wearing the half size for the top cover up and the full size for the bottom cover up in Fuchsia - Purple.
The Pigment Rainbow Sarong is made by first dying multiple times to obtain a tie-dye like effect for the background. Once it's dried, the flowers are hand painted by dipping a stick in bleach, then in the pigment color in order to bleach and apply the flower petals in one stroke. This sarong is finished with a Rolled Seam. Each Sarong, Pareo, Lava-Lava includes a hand carved cocount shell buckle for easy tying.
Sarong is an Indonesian word. Lava Lava is the Hawaiian word for Sarong. Pareo is the Tahitian word for sarong. Sarongs are traditionally used as shawls, bathing suit cover-ups, beach wraps and covers and even as tablecloths. Sarongs are machine or hand washable in a recommended gentle cycle in cold water and hung to dry.
