Men's Reverse Print Shirts
Reverse print aloha shirts, sewn with the back of the printed fabric facing out so the colors look soft and faded. Go Barefoot and RJC make most of them, in sizes up to 4X-Large, and Mini Tahitian goes to 5X.
Buying guide & FAQ
What a reverse print shirt is
The fabric is printed on one side as usual, then the shirt is sewn inside out on purpose. What you see is the back of the print, which comes through lighter and more muted. The result is quieter than a regular aloha shirt and looks right at a desk, a business lunch or anywhere a full-color print feels like too much.
Look for Go Barefoot's Outrigger, Surfboards and Mini Tahitian, RJC's Hawaiian Symbol and Hawaii State Monarchy, and the Hawaiian Symbol Businessman's Reverse Shirt.
Sizing
Every Hawaiian maker cuts to its own size chart, so the Large you wear in one label may not be the Large you need in the next. Lay a shirt you already like flat, measure it armpit to armpit and from the collar seam to the hem, and email both numbers to jz@MauiShirts.com. We'll tell you which size to order.
Common questions
What is a reverse print Hawaiian shirt?
It's an aloha shirt sewn with the back of the printed fabric facing out, so the pattern looks softer and more muted than a regular print.
Can I wear a reverse print aloha shirt to work?
Yes. The muted colors make reverse prints the most office-friendly aloha shirts, and they're a common choice for business wear in Hawaii.
How do I find my size in a Hawaiian shirt?
Sizing differs from brand to brand. Lay a shirt you like flat, measure armpit to armpit and collar seam to hem, and email the numbers to jz@MauiShirts.com. We'll recommend a size.
