There are no universal size standards in the clothing business. One manufacturer’s large is another manufacturer’s medium, etc. These measurements, shown in inches, on this size chart, pertain specifically to R. J. Clancey "Golden Dragon" Long Slip Dress and have no relationship to any other dress style, dress maker or brand name.

BUST: Seam to seam circumference measurement taken from under the armpits. There is another one to two inches of allowance provided by the bust darts,
Under the Bust is the circumference measured from 6 inches below the bust measurement at the smallest part of the dress
HIP measurement is taken from under the bust line approximately 16 inches down the dress.
SKIRT WIDTH: The skirt width measurement is the largest width of the sundress taken 20 inches from under the armpits
LENGTH measurement is taken from the top of the strap to the bottom of the hem with the strap set at the shortest adjustment. The straps can be adjusted for another 3 to 3 1/2 inches
