Sarong is an Indonesian word. Lava Lava is the Hawaiian word for Sarong. Pareo is the Tahitian word for sarong. In Asian cultures the headscarf or shawl is a Dupatta. These large rectangular fabrics are traditionally used as sarongs, shawls, bathing suit cover-ups, beach wraps and even tablecloths. Wash by hand in cold water or in a gentle machine cycle, sun dry.
