If you wish to make an exchange or return, please send an e-mail to: Mauiman@MauiShirts.com requesting an authorization to do so. Please include your original ORDER NUMBER in your e-mail. A reply may take one, two or three days. Please do not send multiple emails. Please be patient. Your e-mail WILL be answered. An address for your return shipment will be furnished along with your authorization. Please DO NOT SEND ANYTHING BACK for exchange or refund unless you have received an email authorization to do so. Failure to do so will delay your refund.
You may exchange for anything! There are NO fees for exchanges. There is an industry standard 15% restocking fee for processing, handling and re-listing for all returns that are NOT for exchanges.
The EXCHANGE process is simple. You need to process a new purchase for an exchange. You will select new shipping charges. In the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS BOX of your new order form, please reference the Order Number of your original order, so the two orders can be matched up easily. The Special Instructions box is under the area where you type in your email address.
There is no rush. MauiShirts.com has a 6-month exchange policy. This means you have up to six (6) months after your original purchase to make your exchange.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT Refuse your Federal Express shipment on your new order. If you do so, you will incur the shipping cost back to Maui. This cost can double or triple your original shipping cost.
Also, If you refuse a Priority Mail or Federal Express shipment, or the address that you furnished is undeliverable, it will be considered a return when it arrives back on Maui. A 15% processing, handling and re-listing fee will be deducted from the refund.
Please note: Coupons and Discount Codes are not valid for Exchanges.
Return what you don't want within 30 days of your original purchase for a refund.
REFUNDS can NOT be issued for returns that are NOT for exchanges if received on Maui after 30 days - NO EXCEPTIONS. By default, credit card data disappears from the on-line transaction at the end of the 30th day. MauiShirts.com understands there can be mitigating circumstances. As long as you request your refund within 30 days of your purchase, MauiShirts.com will issue a refund. We will allow a grace period of 15 days due to mail handling and other circumstances beyond your control. Without exception, a refund to your credit card will not be issued after 30 to 45 days from the time your shipment was delivered to you. In most instances, after 30 days, a company check will be issued. This can take up to 30 days from the time your items are logged in on Maui.
How to send your stuff back to Maui:
Please fold the shirts or dresses flat and neatly, buttoned and zipped up, as best you can, before you ship back to Maui. Please understand that someone else will be purchasing what you are returning. Items must NOT have been worn and must be in Original, New, (Unwashed), condition with all Tags attached to qualify for any Exchange, Credit or Refund.
The U.S. Postal Service offers free, sturdy Priority Mail Boxes, Save your Money! It is not necessary to use a Flat Rate Box unless your return items weigh over 2 lbs. The U.S. Post Office will also offer you free address labels. The cost is $ 5.95 to ship 1-lb or less via Priority Mail. There is no need to use a "Flat Rate Priority Mail Box". This flat rate box is for contents that weigh two pounds or more. Most shirts and dresses weigh less than one pound. A Delivery Confirmation, (recommended) is only 70 cents and insurance is $ 1.75 for up to $50.00 in value. The Delivery Confirmation number will tell you when your package is received on Maui and will tell us when you mailed the package.
Most people return their exchanges or returns back to Maui in the same box they received. When sending Rayon clothing back to Maui, PLEASE use a box, PLEASE do NOT use a bag or envelope. The cost is the same if you use a Priority Mail envelope or a Priority Mail Box. Many people ship Cotton clothing via First Class mail. Although less expensive for 13 ounces or less, it will require up to two weeks to arrive on Maui. Cotton does not wrinkle as much as rayon. If you fold the cotton items flat, they will come back in perfect condition.
First Class mail will costs less than Priority Mail. First Class mail may require up to two weeks to reach Maui from some Mainland states. Priority Mail will usully require only 3 to 5 work days. Parcel Post could require up to 30 days or more to reach Maui. Please include your order number inside and/or outside your box.
Some wrinkles and creases are expected, and cannot be avoided when returning items. A $ 7.50 handling & steaming fee will be deducted if you return apparel that is greatly wrinkled, crumpled, unfolded, unbuttoned, unzipped and shoved, stuffed, without any care, into a bag, envelope or a box. Returned garments that have been worn, stuck with pins to attempt alterations will not be allowed refund or exchange. Clothing that has been washed or returned with make-up stains, smell of tobacco smoke, covered with animal hair or soiled in any way will not be accepted for refund or exchange.
WARNING ! MauiShirts.com, Inc. can not be responsible for your returned merchandise or refund if you do not first obtain authorization or if you do not communicate with your order number. If you send something back without written authorization, or without an order number, it may take months for your refund to be issued. Special Order items, shirts, dresses, 5X and 6X size Men's shirts are returnable for exchange ONLY. No refunds can be issued for Special Order items or Men's 5X and 6X shirts.
Please exercise a little patience before emailing and calling about your refund. Refunds are customarily issued within 10 to 15 WORK DAYS from the time your items are logged in on Maui. Please, check with your credit card company and/or bank FIRST before sending an email to us or calling MauiShirts.com. If your refund has not been recorded within 15 work days, please call our toll free number to verify your refund. Please have your ORDER Number when calling. We require a few days from the time your returned item/s are unpacked, logged in, and received on Maui before a credit card refund can be issued. A refund transaction will appear on your credit card statement within two to three days after it has been processed. Refunds may require an additional 10 to 15 days longer, if your returned item(s) arrive on Maui 30 days after your initial request. It should go without saying, but a refund cannot be issued if you do not include an ORDER NUMBER in or outside your box or if you fail to include some legible information to identify who you are. There is a 15% processing fee for handling and re-listing for all returned merchandise that is NOT for an exchange. The fee is automatically deducted from your refund. Returned merchandise orders sent back for exchanges that have excess credits could be issued merchandise credits. Merchandise Credits expire six (6) months after time of initial purchase. Merchandise credits can NOT be used for shipping costs.
RECLAIM of Fees: You may reclaim processing handling and re-listing fees deducted from your refund any time within six (6) months after the date of your original order by mentioning your original order number in the "Special Instructions" box, as you check out with your shopping cart, with any new order. All orders are stored and sorted by their order number. Deducted Fees can NOT be used for shipping charges.
Merchandise Credits will expire 6 months after the date of your original purchase. Merchandise credits can not be used for shipping charges. Please do not hesitate to call our toll free number if you have any questions.
Shipping charges are not negotiable and non-refundable.
If you received something as a GIFT. You may exchange the item for anything available on MauiShirts.com's website. An order Number of the original purchase or the email address of the gift giver is needed to facilitate the exchange. Use the "Special Instructions" box of your new order to tell us that you are returning a gift. The refund will be issued to the new order; (your credit card). No refunds are offered for items received as gifts.
Incorrect or Damaged Item Received: Every now and then the wrong item is packed and is shipped; wrong size, wrong color. Also, It is rare, but sometimes a garment is shipped with a manufacturer's flaw; a bad seam, loose button, unraveling thread, etc. MauiShirts.com will make it right without hesitation. Please send an e-mail to Mauiman@MauiShirts.com or call the toll free number for instructions on how to send your item back. MauiShirts.com, Inc. will refund your shipping cost as long as you ship the wrong or damaged item back to Maui via U.S. Priority Mail or First Class Mail. (MauiShirts.com will NOT pay shipping charges on items sent back via UPS or FEDERAL EXPRESS.) Obtain a Delivery Confirmation Number from the Post Office. E-mail Mauiman@MauiShirts.com the Delivery confirmation number. The correct, replacement or repaired item will be sent to you at our expense.
EBay Items: EBay items can be exchanged for other eBay items or for merchandise on MauiShirts.com. There is a 15% handling, re-listing and re-stocking fee for all EBay items, eBay purchases and eBay auctions. No refunds are offered for EBay items.
