There are no universal size standards in the apparel business. One manufacturer’s large is another manufacturer’s medium, etc. These measurements, shown in inches, on this size chart, pertain to the Style 188 Wide Strap Sundress. They have no relationship to any other dress maker, style or brand name. This is a pull-over dress, no zippers.

LENGTH: is determined from the top of the shoulder strap to the bottom of the dress.
*BUST: is taken from under the armpits, from seam to seam.
A 26" Bust would be 13" from the front measurement and 13" from the back measurement. The bust measurement is impacted by the elastic (Smocked) in the back panel of the dress by 4 to 5 inches. The measurement is minimum and by adding the 4 to 5 inches would be the maximum size range.
*WAIST: is taken in the middle of the dress. The middle is determined from the halfway distance of the length measurement from seam to seam. It is measured in the front and in the back and then doubled. The Waist measurement is impacted by the elastic in the back panel of the dress. The measurement is minimum and maximum size range
HIP: measurement is taken from the halfway point from the bottom of the dress to the waist. The measurement is taken from seam to seam.
Note: There is a gathered bodice which is a little hard to see. There is a gather stitch down the middle of the bodice which creates a smooth pleat-like effect when worn.
