Hawaiian Tank Dresses
Sleeveless Hawaiian tank dresses, most of them Paradise Found's short flared tank and bias cut styles. Sizes run X-Small to 2X-Large on most prints.
Buying guide & FAQ
Short flared or bias cut?
The short tank flared dress fits through the top and opens into a swingy skirt. It's an easy dress for sightseeing days and sunset walks. Prints include Jungle Bird (in cotton or rayon), Star Orchid, Red Ginger and Island Breeze.
The bias cut flared tank is cut on the diagonal of the fabric, so it drapes and moves instead of hanging straight. It pulls on over your head with no zipper.
Rayon care
Many of these dresses are rayon. Wash them cold and gently, and keep them out of the dryer. Our care guide has the details.
Sizing
Hawaiian brands don't share a size chart. If you're between sizes or trying a new label, measure the bust and length of a dress that fits you well and send them to jz@MauiShirts.com.
Common questions
What is a bias cut dress?
It's a dress cut on the diagonal of the fabric. The diagonal gives the fabric more stretch and drape, so the dress moves with you and skims the body.
Is the Jungle Bird tank dress the Magnum P.I. print?
Yes. It's Paradise Found's Jungle Bird print, the one from Magnum P.I., cut as a women's short flared tank dress in cotton or rayon.
What sizes do the tank dresses come in?
Most run X-Small to 2X-Large, though some prints are down to a few sizes.
How do I choose the right size Hawaiian dress?
Every Hawaiian brand sizes a little differently. Measure the bust and length of a dress you already like, email the numbers to jz@MauiShirts.com, and we'll recommend a size.
