Buying guide & FAQ
New shirts, vintage prints
Nothing on this page is secondhand. These are current shirts cut in prints that borrow from the early days of the aloha shirt: postcard scenes, pineapples, ukuleles and leis, and big hand-drawn florals.
Go Barefoot's Vintage Fujiette shirts, like Diamond Head and Aloha Maid, run Small to 3X-Large. Pineapple Juice does vintage rayon prints like Hawaiian Palm. Paradise Found has its Vintage Kamehameha prints (the Pineapples women's shirt is one), and RJC's Pineapples Men's Vintage comes in six colorways.
Curious where the look came from? Our aloha shirt history page tells the story.
Sizing
Every Hawaiian maker cuts to its own size chart, so the Large you wear in one label may not be the Large you need in the next. Lay a shirt you already like flat, measure it armpit to armpit and from the collar seam to the hem, and email both numbers to jz@MauiShirts.com. We'll tell you which size to order.
Common questions
Are these real vintage Hawaiian shirts?
No. They're new shirts made in vintage and retro-style prints, so you get the look without the wear.
What makes a Hawaiian shirt look vintage?
Prints that echo the 1940s and 1950s: postcard scenes, pineapples, ukuleles, and large hand-drawn florals in softer colors.
How do I find my size in a Hawaiian shirt?
Sizing differs from brand to brand. Lay a shirt you like flat, measure armpit to armpit and collar seam to hem, and email the numbers to jz@MauiShirts.com. We'll recommend a size.
