Ipo means sweetheart in the Hawaiian language, it works perfectly for those of you who are in love with golf; Especially golf in Hawaii. Our beautiful 50th state has over 75 incredible golf courses. Some are rated in the top 100 golf resorts in the world. Our courses are spread out throughout 6 islands , Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and the "big island" of Hawaii. Courses are found mauka to makai ( mountain to ocean). Many are world renown and have or are currently hosting professional golf tournaments. Hawaiian Socks have had the pleasure to make Logo Socks for several events. We made socks for the Sony Hawaiian Open and the Senior Skins at Wailea events to name a few. Our sock is the perfect sock for golf. The mesh top breathes to keep you foot the perfect temperature and the padded bottom keeps your foot comfortable walking 18 holes, or at least it looks good in the 19th hole. The golf courses in Hawaii are truly awesome. They range from jungle layouts to some carved in lava rock ,very different than any other place in the world. The courses on Kauai are very tropical and breathtaking scenery abound. The two golf courses in the northern part of the island in the town of Hanalei are incredible! Princeville has the Prince course which is layout overlooking Hanalei bay and the famous Bali Hai from the movie South Pacific. This layout is literally cut through the jungle , hit the ball straight or aloooohaaa. Not the easiest to play but most certainly one of the most memorable golf rounds you will ever play. Go all the way down to the southernmost island and travel to the Kona Cost of the "Big Island" and you can play several world ranked golf courses constructed right in the middle of lava fields. Lush green grass contrasting with jet black lava is some kind of eye candy. Makes you wonder how it is even possible.
Several of these courses go right down to the waters edge forcing you to carry the ball over stretches of the beautiful blue pacific, unreal! You thought you had to hit the ball straight on Kauai , well.... better hit it straighter on the Kona Coast. Mauna Kea is the original course in this area of the Big Island and one of my favorite.
Built in the 1960's it is a engineering marvel and very beautiful to see and better yet play golf on. Hawaii so many courses with their own character that it would take a book to describe them all, guess that has already been done. Hawaiian socks can be found at the majority of the golf resorts throughout the state and our quality of construction and design of our socks match up perfectly with the awesome Hawaiian golf courses.
