Hibiscus sometimes referred to as "the Queen of the Tropics". Some types hibiscus have been used to make dyes and have been used as food. Originating in Asia and the Pacific islands, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is the national flower of Malaysia. The Hawaiian state flower is a native species of hibiscus, H. brackenridgei. Thousands of colors and combinations of colors exist, (no true blue or black). Some varieties of hibiscus have blossoms 2" in diameter while others are 10" to 12" in diameter. Some hibiscus grows with bushes that will only grow a foot in several years while others may grow to 15 feet if left undisturbed in the ground. Singles, doubles, some blooming almost every day, the variation in the tropical hibiscus family is astounding! The Hawaii State Flower: Pua Aloalo, Hibiscus brackenridgei. The hibiscus, all colors and varieties, was the official Territorial Flower as adopted in the early 1920s. In 1988 the Yellow Hibiscus, which is native to the Hawaiian Islands, was selected to represent Hawaii. For this reason, you will see many older photos and postcards with the red hibiscus, and other colors, as the state flower.

LENGTH is the measurement from the top middle of the collar to the bottom of the shirt. SHIRT CHEST is the circumference measurement determined by adding the back and front. The measurement is taken from under the armpits from seam to seam.
All Paradise Found shirts are handmade in limited quantities in Hawaii. These shirts are sewn to fit comfortably. They are NOT fitted shirts. There is no top button to close the neck.
These Size Chart measurements are taken from PARADISE FOUND Rayon shirts and DO NOT have any relationship to any other shirt manufacturer or brand name. Please measure a shirt from your wardrobe that fits you comfortably and compare the chest measurement to these measurements to avoid returns and exchanges. These measurements above are obtained from a random selection of Paradise Found shirts.
